New 8242XS Heavy Load
Release
ORE Offshore has introduced its new 8242XS Heavy Load
Release that is designed for use in a variety of underwater applications
including construction and deployment of devices such as cables
where sub sea acoustically activated separation is required. The
Heavy Load Release is a full ocean depth unit that is tested to
release loads up to 100,000 lbs (45,200kg) and incorporates the
proven 8242XS release / transponder.
ORE Offshore developed the Heavy Load Release in response to customer
requests to be able to more effectively handle greater loads for
applications such as cable repair in water depths up to 6000meters.
The ORE Offshore unique mechanical design and coding structure provides
its customers with unsurpassed reliability for these applications.
